| Objective To analyze the status of anticipatory grief of parents of children with cancer and its correlation with social support,coping style and attachment style,and to explore the main influencing factors of anticipatory grief of parents of children with cancer.The author interprets the experience of anticipatory grief,and further explores the factors that affect the anticipatory grief of the parents of the children,in order to provide the basis for the clinical psychological intervention.Methods In this study,quantitative and qualitative methods were used to explore the status quo of anticipatory grief of parents of children with cancer and to analyze its influencing factors.Quantitative prospective parents sad selection in October 2019 to January 2021 in shenyang,a hospital pediatric blood medicine and oncology hospital treatment for children,included in the standard of 244 cases of children with cancer as investigation object,parents usually includes demographic information questionnaire,Anticipatory Grief Scale,Simplified Coping Styles Questionnaire and Social Support Rating Scale,Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory.SPSS22.0 was used for statistical analysis.Statistical methods included descriptive studies,t test,one-way analysis of variance,Pearson correlation analysis,and multiple linear regression.Resulte 1.The overall score of the scale of expected sadness was(90.72±19.13),divide each dimension entries from high,in what order "lost feeling"(4.36±0.68) points,"sad"(3.57±0.96)points,"anxiety"(3.27±0.99)points,"guilt"(3.17±0.83)points,"the ability to complete the task"(3.15±0.97)points,"angry"(3.08±0.97)points,“irritability”(2.55±0.81)points."2.The total score of the parents of children with cancer in the social support questionnaire was(41.87±7.86),among which the average score of the subjective support dimension was the highest(5.82±1.15),and the average score of the support utilization dimension was the lowest(2.36±0.60).3.The results of the coping style questionnaire of parents of children with cancer showed that the average score of positive coping items was(1.82±0.51),and the average score of negative coping items was(2.86±0.92).4.In the intimate relationship experience scale of parents of cancer children,the average score of attachment anxiety items was(3.39±0.95),and the average score of attachment avoidance items was(2.86±0.92),among which security type,fear type,infatuation type and apathy type accounted for 34.4%,19.3%,25.0% and 21.3%,respectively.5.There was a negative correlation between the total score of anticipatory grief and the total score of social support in parents of children with cancer(r=-0.281,P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between the total score of anticipatory grief and the total score of positive coping dimension(r=-0.179,P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between the total score of anticipatory grief and the total score of negative coping dimension(r=0.179,P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between the total score of anticipatory grief and the total score of attachment avoidance dimension(r=0.174,P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between the total score of anticipatory grief and the total score of attachment anxiety dimension(r=0.225,P<0.01).6.The parents of cancer children had different ages,education level,residence,occupation,occupational status,family average monthly income,medical expenses payment method,attachment type,and the expected sadness score was different,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The scores of parents’ expected sadness were different with different disease stages and severity of illness,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).7.The main factors influencing the expected level of grief in parents of children with cancer: city(β=-0.225),Obsessive attachment(β=0.206),social support(β=-0.206)、negative coping(β=0.133).Conclusion 1.The parents of children with cancer had a higher level of anticipatory grief than the caregivers of adult cancer patients at home and abroad.2.The social support level of parents of children with cancer is similar to that of parents of children with cancer in China.3.The score of negative coping dimension of parents of children with cancer was lower than the national norm,while the score of positive coping dimension was similar to the national norm.4.The number of parents of children with cancer with secure attachment is lower than the national norm,the number of parents with fear attachment is higher than the national norm,and the proportion of other types is similar.5.Anticipatory grief of parents of children with cancer was correlated with social support,coping style and intimate relationship experience.Among them,negative coping,attachment avoidance and attachment anxiety can positively predict anticipatory grief,while positive coping and social support can negatively predict anticipatory grief.6.The anticipatory grief level of parents of children with cancer was affected by residence,obsessive attachment,social support and negative coping style.Compared with children living in rural and urban areas,parents of children living in urban areas had a lower level of anticipatory grief.Compared with parents of children with cancer who were secure,attentive and fearful,parents with infatuation attachment had higher levels of anticipatory grief.The more social support the parents received,the lower the level of anticipatory grief.Parents of children with cancer who used negative coping strategies had higher levels of anticipatory grief than parents of children with cancer who used positive coping strategies. |
