| Objectives To evaluate effects and safety of Recipe for Strengthening-spleen,Clearingheat and Removing-dampness(RSCR)on patients with type 2 diabetes combined with obesity(TCM syndrome,damp-heat trapped spleen,DTS),to offer a promising way for the treatment on type 2 diabetes with obesity.Methods 74 obese patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group,with 37 cases in each group.Both groups were given basic treatment,the control group took metformin hydrochloride tablets;the treatment group was treated with Qingrelishijianpi prescription on the basis of the control group.The course of treatment was 8 weeks.The fasting blood glucose(FPG),2h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),fasting insulin(FINS),C peptide,insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR),blood lipids,Observe related indicators such as waist circumference,hip circumference,body mass index(BMI),waist-to-hip ratio,TCM syndrome score,and used SPSS23.0 to analyze the collected data.Results 1 Initially,74 cases were enrolled in this study,4 cases were dropped during the treatment process,and a total of 70 cases were finally included in the statistical analysis.Statistical analysis was used to compare the age,course of disease,and gender of the two groups before treatment.The results showed that there was no significant difference(P>0.05),TCM symptoms: Compared within the two groups,the syndrome scores decreased after treatment(P<0.05)and the improvement of TCM scores in the treatment group was stronger than that in the control group.2 TCM Syndrome Points:The effect rate of RSCR combined with western medicine group was 91.42%,and the effective rate of western medicine group was 65.71%.There are significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).3 Blood glucose related index: FPG,2hPG,and HbA1c were significantly reduced after treatment in the two groups(P<0.05);after treatment,the decrease in the treatment group was significantly stronger than that of the control group,and the HbA1c were not significantly different between the two groups.4 Insulinrelated index: fasting insulin,peptide C,and insulin resistance index decreased after treatment on cases in the two groups(P<0.05);Effect of the treatment group was stronger than that of the control group on the 3 indexes.5 Obesity-related index: BMI,weight,waist circumference,hip circumference,and waist-to-hip ratio after treatment in the two groups were significantly weaker than those before treatment(P < 0.05).Comparison of treatment groups in BMI,weight,waist circumference.The reduction of the 3 indexes was significantly stronger than those of the control group,the waist-to-hip ratio and hip circumference were not significantly different between the two groups.6Blood lipid index: the levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and low-density lipoprotein(LDL)after treatment in the two groups were significantly weaker than those in the control group,and high-density lipoprotein(HDL)was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05);The improvement of the four indexes of TG,TC,LDL and HDL in the treatment group was significantly stronger than that of the control group.7 Safety index: No abnormality in routine urine,the liver function and kidney function was found,and no severe adverse reactions showed.Conclusions RSCR combined with metformin hydrochloride tablets can significantly down-regulate FPG,2hPG,and HbA1c,insulin,BMI,blood lipids and other indexes in obese patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(TCM syndrome,DTS).The therapeutic effect of RSCR is significant and the decoction safety is reliable.Figure 0;Table 13;Reference 85... |
