Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of additinal or reduced Shentang recipe in the treatment of patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis type diabetic kidney disease(stage Ⅳ),to demonstrate the significance of nourishing qi,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy, and to discuss professor Fu Xiaojun’s clinical experience in the treatment of this disease. Methods A total of 76 outpatients and inpatients who met the inclusion criteria in Jinhua Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2019 to December 2021 were collected and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group with 38 cases in each. The control group was given conventional western medicine treatment, and the treatment group was given Modified Shentang recipe on the basis of the control group, and the course of treatment was 8 weeks.Compare and analyze relevant data indicators such as blood sugar, blood lipids, renal function, urine protein, and TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment.Result 1.Before treatment, there were no significant differences in gender, age, diabetes course, renal function, blood lipids, blood glucose, urine protein, and TCM syndrome scores between the treatment group and the control group(P>0.05),indicating that the baseline was comparable.2.After 8 weeks of treatment, the TCM syndrome scores,FBG,2hPG,HBA1c,TG,TC,LDL-C,SCR,BUN,GFR,and 24h urine protein quantification in the treatment group and the control group decreased significantly compared with before treatment(P<0.05),and there were differences between groups except FBG,2hPG,and HBA1c(P<0.05).3.After 8 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of TCM syndrome in the control group was 71.43%,while the treatment group was 91.43%;the total clinical efficacy of the control group was 65.71%,and the treatment group was 88.57%;and the comparison of the efficacy of TCM symptoms and clinical comprehensive efficacy of the two groups after treatment was statistically different(P<0.05),indicating that the efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.4.During the treatment period,no abnormal changes were seen in the two groups of patients before and after treatment, such as leukocytes, hemoglobin, alanine aminotransferase, ecglyogram, stool routine. Conclusion 1.By exerting the effect of qi and activating blood stasis, the addition and subtraction of Modified Shentang recipe can effectively treat qi deficiency blood stasis type diabetic kidney disease(stage IV.),reduce the level of urine protein at the same time and alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients, improve blood lipids and kidney function, and have a certain effect, and the efficacy is better than that of the control group.2.During the trial,it was not found that the addition or subtraction of Modified Shentang recipe has clear toxic side effects, which proves its safety and effectiveness, and can be studied in depth in the later stage and promoted and applied in clinical practice.
