| ObjectiveTo observe the levels of blood lipid profile and homocysteine in patients with retinal vein occlusion and to study the relationship between them and retinal vein occlusion.Methods109 cases of RVO diagnosed in ophthalmology department of Affiliated Hospital of Taishan Medical College from January 2017 to December 2018 were randomly selected for the study.Blood lipids and homocysteine were examined, including total cholesterol(CHOL),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL),low density lipoprotein(LDL),lipoprotein(a)[LP(a)],homocysteine(HCY).The control group consisted of 100 patients with simple pterygium and ametropia who were treated at the same time in our hospital. All clinical data of the patients were input into the computer and processed by SPSS18.0software.ResultsThe levels of CHOL,TG,HDL,LDL,LP(a)and HCY in RVO group were higher than those in control group(P < 0.05).The levels of CHOL,LDL,LP(a)and HCY in RVO group were significantly higher than those in control group(P < 0.001).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that CHOL(OR 1.818;95% confidence interval,1.180-2.802;P = 0.007),LDL(OR 2.668;95% confidence interval,1.336-5.329;P = 0.05),LP(a)(OR 1.009;95% confidence intervals,1.005-1.013;P < 0.001;HCY(OR 1.244;OR 1.001;95% confidence intervals,1.114-1.388;P < 0.001)were significantly correlated with RVO,while TG(OR 1.424;OR 1.424;95% confidence intervals,0.858-2.362;P =0.172),HDL(OR 2.445;95% confidence intervals,0.563-10.612;P = 0.233)was not significantly correlated with RVO.The area under ROC curve showed LP(a)0.759 >CHOL 0.755 > LDL 0.753 > HCY 0.718 > TG 0.623 > HDL 0.589.ConclusionBlood lipid profile CHOL,LDL,LP(a),HCY and homocysteine are closely related to the occurrence of RVO. |
