Objective: To explore the influencing factors of feeding intolerance in very low birth weight infants,so as to provide clinical basis for early detection and early intervention of feeding intolerance.Method: A retrospective case-control study was conducted on 100 VLBW infants who were admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU)of Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Xinhui District,Jiangmen City from December 2013 to December 2020.Univariate analysis was carried out for the related influencing factors, and then logistic regression analysis was carried out with stepwise regression variable screening.According to different gestational age, they were divided into 3 subgroups(gestational age group 1: < 30 weeks;Gestational age group 2:30 to 32 weeks;Gestational age(3 groups: > 32 weeks),and the related factors were analyzed by stratification for each subgroup. Results: The incidence of feeding intolerance in very low birth weight infants was 65%.Univariate analysis showed that young gestational age, late milking time, moderate to severe anemia, and caffeine use may be risk factors for feeding intolerance in VLBW infants.Logistic stepwise regression analysis showed that intrauterine distress, moderate and severe anemia, and caffeine use were the risk factors for feeding intolerance in VLBWNs.The incidence of feeding intolerance in gestational age group 1,gestational age group 2 and gestational age group 3 was 83.3%,61.1% and 46.4%,respectively,in the stratified analysis divided into three subgroups by gestational age.The analysis of moderate and severe anemia in gestational age group 1 and gestational age group 2showed statistically significant difference between FI group and FT group.Caffeine use in the analysis of gestational age showed a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion:Very low birth weight infants are the population with high incidence of feeding intolerance. The younger the gestational age,the higher the incidence of feeding intolerance.Intrauterine distress, moderate to severe anemia, and caffeine use are risk factors for feeding intolerance in VLBW infants.Caffeine use may be a confounding factor.Clinically,we should actively intervene intrauterine distress and actively prevent and cure anemia in premature infants to reduce the incidence of feeding intolerance.
