Observation Of Clinical Efficacy Of Hawthorn Qu Pingwei Powder And Allergic Decoction In Treating Allergic Conjunctivitis In Children

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Hawthorn Qu Ping Wei Powder combined with Allergic Decoction in treating allergic conjunctivitis in children with spleen deficiency.Methods: The selection of cases included children with allergic conjunctivitis who were admitted to the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2020 to December 2020.Seventy children with spleen deficiency who had partial or picky eating behaviors were selected and randomly divided for two groups.Thirty-six patients in the treatment group were treated with Hawthorn Qu Ping Wei Powder combined with Allergic Decoction orally;Thirty-four patients in the control group were treated with azelastine hydrochloride eye drops for 2 weeks.According to the scoring standard,the specific scores of the two groups of children’s symptoms,signs,and general conditions were recorded at the time points before and after the treatment.The SPSS26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the scores of the two groups and compare the two groups effectiveness.Results: There was no difference in the age and gender distribution range of the two groups of children,and they were comparable.The ocular symptoms,signs and general conditions of the two groups of children before treatment were comparable.After two weeks of treatment,in terms of ocular symptoms and signs,both the treatment group and the control group improved compared to before treatment,and the treatment group improved more significantly(P<0.05);In terms of systemic conditions,the treatment group’s systemic conditions were better regulated after 2 weeks of treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The effective rate in the treatment group was 90%,and the effective rate in the control group was 76.67%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Chinese medicine oral administration of Hawthorn Qu Ping Wei Powder combined with Allergic Decoction is effective in treating allergic conjunctivitis in children with spleen deficiency.To treat allergic conjunctivitis in children with spleen deficiency,the use of traditional Chinese medicine oral administration of Hawthorn Qu Ping Wei Powder combined with Allergic Decoction is better than the use of azelastine hydrochloride eye drop.
