| Objective:The objective is to evaluate the clinical effect of external washing with Kushen decoction in the treatment of scalp seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome),try to analyze its mechanism of action,and to popularize the external treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Research Methods:Seventy-two patients with scalp seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome)were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 36 patients in each group.The treatment group was externally washed with Kushen decoction,while the control group was externally washed with 2% ketoconazole lotion.Two weeks is a course of treatment.Two courses of treatment were evaluated,and scores and statistical analysis were performed at the beginning of diagnosis and the end of each course of treatment..Result:(1)The total effective rate of the treatment group was 85.72%,and that of the control group was 79.41%(P<0.05),and the comparison between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)Comparison of macules and total scores between two groups at the end of the first course of treatment(P<0.05);The score of pruritus,scales and seborrhea was compared(P >0.05).(3)At the end of 2 courses of treatment,the score of Seborrhea was compared between the two groups(P>0.05),and the scores of other items were compared between the two groups(P<0.05).(4)Comparison of scores before and after treatment in each group(P<0.05).(5)Comparison of the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).(6)The recurrence rate was 16.66% in the treatment group and 40.74% in the control group,and the comparison between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Both methods of Kushen decoction and 2% Ketoconazole Lotion are effective in the treatment of scalp seborrheic dermatitis(damp-heat syndrome).However,Kushen decoction is better than 2% Ketoconazole Lotion in the improvement of macules,pruritus and scales with no adverse reactions and low recurrence rate. |
