Clinical Study On Scalp Seborrheic Dermatitis By Sang Yu Lotion

Seborrheic dermatitis on scalp is a chronic common disease. There have been prescriptions of TCM for this disease in ancient books since Tang dynasty, and many of them have excellent efficacy. The project was selected to study the curative effect and recrudescent rate of Sang Yu(SY) lotion.93 cases of seborrheic dermatitis were treated with SY lotion. The curative rate(58.06%) and the total effective rate(96.77%) are better than those of the control class. As to different types on TCM, SY lotion has advantage in treating damp-heat type, but in treating hot-blood type or dry-blood type both with dry-wind symptom, the efficacy is equal to the control class. From high to low, the curative efficacy is that of seals pruritus sebum, papule macule alopecia. One month after cure, the recrudescent rate is lower. Half a year later, study also shows that further efficacy is better.The study indicate that SY lotion can ease the inflammation pruritus clear sebum and promote hair growth. And it has definite efficacy and low recrudescence in treating seborrheic dermatitis.
