| ObjectiveTo analyze the staffing situation,job satisfaction,medical and health knowledge level,training demands and their influencing factors of primary medical staff engaged in basic public health services in Bengshan District,Bengbu City.So as to provide reference for improving the service capacity of primary medical staff and formulating optimal policies.MethodsIn this study,cluster sampling was used to select 6 sub-districts or townships in Bengsh an District as th e research sites,and 156 primary medical staff engaged in basic public health services were selecte d as the survey obj ects to investigate their general demographi c characteristics,education and training,j ob satisfaction status(using Minnesota Satisfaction Question(MSQ)),medical and health knowledge level(using the self-made primary medical staff health knowledge examin ation paper score)and training demands(including clinical knowledge,clinical skills,bas ic public health services,traditional C hinese medicine services,emergency medicine,epidemiological and health statistics,communication skills and teaching skills).The Epidata3.1 software was used to establish the database,and the SPSS23.0 softwar e was used for statistical processing of the data.Statistical analysis methods included chi-square test,t test,analysis of variance,multiple linear regression and bin ary logistic regression metho ds.Results1.The average age of 156 primary medical staff was 43.92±11.75 years old,and the subjects were mainly female(67.3%),college degree below(79.5%)and junior professional title(57.7%).There were statistical differences in the composition of medica l staff in cities and towns in terms of working years,educationa l background,major,tr aining plan,training measures and effectiveness(P<0.05).2.The average score of job satisfactio n of primary medical staff was3.31±1.01.There were statistical differences in satisfaction scores between urban and rural areas,age,work ing years,educational background,professional title,management position,time of medical education,training method and physician training plan(P<0.05).3.The overall av erage score of medical and health knowledge level test of primary medical staff wa s 64.06±16.82,and the overall passing rate was55.8%.The scores of the staff in vill age clinics were higher than those in community health service stations(β=9.15,95%CI: 3.57~14.72).The scores of staff with junior college degree,bachelor’s degree or above were higher than those with high school and technical secondary school education(β=10.17,95%CI: 6.48~13.86)(β=26.73,95%CI: 21.59~31.86).The scores of other majors were lower than those of clinical medicine(β=-22.99,95%CI:27.58~-18.39).4.The highest demand rate of clinical skill s training for primary medical staff was 84.0%.Other training demand rates were basic public health services(73.1%),clinical knowledge(67.9%),communication skills(65.4%),emergency medicine(64.1%),traditional Chinese medicine services(55.8%),epidemiological and health statistics(35.9%),and teaching skills(25.0%).ConclusionsThe current level of medical education and training of basic medical staff in Bengshan District was insufficient,with general job satisfaction and medical and health knowledge level to be improved.The main training demands of basic medical staff were clinical skills,basic public health services and clinical knowledge. |
