| Chinese Characters-Learning App for speakers of Other Language combines mobile-learning and Chinese characters-teaching to foreigners under the new situation.Multimedia Technology makes the visual sense、auditory sense and tactile sense combines efficiently in the App,which can show the pronunciation、character pattern and meaning vividly and interact with Chinese learners.In this way,the App can be an important assistant tool for foreigners to learn Chinese characters.Now,mobile phones and pads are widespread in our life,then learning Chinese characters in App not only can satisfy Chinese learners’ individual and fragmented learning needs,but also help them overcome the fear of difficulties to learn Chinese characters.However,there are only a limited number of Chinese characters-learning App in App Store.What’s more,many problems of contents、structures and functions are in these App,which will negatively impact the leaning process of Chinese learners,so we need to deal with these problems.According to the statistic analysis,we choose "Art of Chinese Characters"、"Magi Chinese" and "Skritter" as our target objects of study and analyze their advantages and disadvantages from three aspects of contents、structures and functions.For contents,we analyze their advantages and disadvantages in choosing and sorting different Chinese characters from its scientificity and pertinence.For structures,we investigate the structure design for learners to read and write Chinese characters and analyze there design features to reflect practicability and interest in learning Chinese characters.For functions,we choose the most protruding features of functions and analyze the advantages and shortages in these Apps from interactivity and convenience.In the process of analyzing,the author give some suggestions to modify these App from her professional point of view.In order to further investigate the three Apps,we collect the user feedback through A survey about Chinese characters learning Apps from international students and interview with some Chinese teachers for foreigners.Then we supplement the improving suggestions from the user’s point of view.Based on the above analysis,we find the reason why these Chinese characters-learning Apps have problems in contents、structures and functions are those software engineer lacking teaching experience or those Chinese teachers for foreigners not knowing enough for multimedia technology,which dose not make the advantage of multimedia get maximum play in Chinese Characters-teaching.What’s more,the companies of these Apps do not modify them according to user’s feedback in time and it is difficult to meet the new needs of Chinese learners.On above basis,we sum up the advantages and suggestions for improvement of target Apps and reflect on the design thought of perfect Chinese characters-learning App in contents、structures and functions.Then,we try to build a practical framework model and take the Chinese character "面" as an example to design a sample excerpt for Chinese characters-learning App based on the mobile terminal,and hope it can provide a reference for the development of Chinese characters-learning App for speakers of other language. |
