The Design Of The Zodiac Culture

The Chinese Zodiac culture matured in the Qin and Han Dynasties has been evolving and developing in the historical times and social and cultural changes,penetrating into all aspects of modern life,and has become one of the Chinese culture with the characteristics of recognition.The ancestors of our country looked down on the heaven and earth,observed all things,and molded the brilliant and moving patterns of the Chinese zodiac in the long river.As the artistic carrier of the Chinese Zodiac culture,they became one of the most concerned artistic themes.Based on the Chinese Zodiac culture,this paper first explores the origin,development and integration of the Chinese Zodiac culture and the image of the classical period;secondly,with the Chinese Zodiac stamps,wristwatches and puppets as the first-hand materials,analyzes the design language of the modern Chinese Zodiac pattern,and summarizes its design features: the folklore of greeting blessings and praying and the decoration of pleasing the eyes and hearts.Third,the author designs three patterns of "Tian Dog","Ling Dog Drawing Valley" and "Nine-tailed Rui Dog" according to their spiritual character,classical texts and folklore,and tries to create a modern aesthetic model of the pattern on the basis of absorbing Chinese traditional artistic expression techniques.
