Research For Images Of Chinese Females In Century-old Photography(1850--1949)

In recent years,with the active implementation of the ’Belt and Road’ initiative and the prevalence of Chinese style,Chinese traditional cultural elements have become the key areas of concern for all walks of life.As an important symbol in cultural anthropology,women have always been valued by researchers.This paper takes Chinese female image as the research object.Taking Chinese female image as the research content;The research starts from 1850.when the first Chinese female image appeared,and reaches nearly a hundred years from 1949.Literature research method,content analysis method,visual anthropology research method as the research methods.The research idea is to get the preliminary conclusion by sorting out the century-old female image data files and statistical analysis,and then interpret,analyze and prove the image content with intuitive chemical tools,rhetorical tools and semiotic tools,so as to reveal the national cultural implications of the female image.First of all,this paper makes statistics and analysis from the image source,the female class in the image,the creation team and the creation method of the 100 years of female image overall appearance,the female identity is divided into five types such as revolutionary heroine,court women,High-Born Lady,civilian women,actress and whore.On this basis,from the delicate appearance to the simple and generous,foot-binding staggering to the liberation of the foot,elegant and poised to bright and valiant three aspects reveal personal cultivation image of women;From the late Qing Dynasty noble woman to debutante in the period of the Republic of China,the family vassal to the personality independence and‘sentient beings’image study the female family life image;From holding a spindle to holding a pen.patriarchal marriage to freedom of love,housewives to members of society,male superiority to female inferiority to gender equality reflects the image of women social members.Secondly,the paper conducts specific image research and profile of female images such as Empress Dowager Cixi,Queen empress wanrong and Soong Ching-ling.Finally,Through the interpretation of image expression,this study has completed the symbolic speculation and confirmation of the implicit connotation of female image symbols,so that this study has a certain academic significance of cultural anthropology and the significance of The Times.
