In the English curriculum standard for senior high school(2017 version)released in 2018,the teaching concept of "learning activity concept" was first proposed.The learning activity concept integrates six elements of the curriculum content,which provides a strong guarantee for the implementation of in-depth teaching and the implementation of the overall goal of the curriculum,and also provides an operable way to change the learning methods of students and improve the effect of English teaching and learning.However,influenced by the experimental curriculum standards for many years,the traditional teaching of listening,speaking,reading and writing is still the main teaching content and teaching method in senior high school English teaching,which does not reflect the overall teaching idea advocated by the view of learning activities.Therefore,it is of practical significance to explore the current situation of senior high school English teaching based on the view of learning activities.Under the guidance of constructivism theory,input hypothesis theory,learning by doing theory and discourse analysis theory,this study takes 540 students and 6 English teachers from grade two of experimental middle school in Dunhua City,Yanbian Prefecture,Jilin Province as the research objects,which lasted for three months.Questionnaire survey and interview were used to reflect the situation of teachers’teaching by students’ learning,focusing on the research Senior high school students for the main line of learning activities "six elements of curriculum content" in each of the specific grasp of the elements,and combined with the results of teacher interviews,students failed to grasp the curriculum content to do a specific reason analysis,and finally put forward reasonable countermeasures.The results of the research can help teachers to better grasp the weak points of students in the learning process,and focus on the teaching,focusing on improving the shortcomings of students in the learning process.It is of great significance to implement the teaching methods advocated by the concept of learning activities and improve the current situation of English Teaching in senior high school.By sorting out the results of the study,seven conclusions are drawn:(1)students’understanding and understanding of the theme context is insufficient,and they can’t distinguish the three theme contexts;(2)students’ knowledge of the text is limited,and their ability to study and read the theme,content,stylistic structure,language characteristics and the author’s point of view is poor;(3)students’ knowledge of material culture and spiritual culture There is a lack of quantity;(4)students’ oral skills in language skills need to be strengthened;(5)students’ writing skills in language skills need to be improved,which is reflected in the lack of vocabulary and genre cognition;(6)students are not good at using cognitive strategies in learning strategies,which leads to low efficiency in learning English.These problems reflect that the concept of learning activities has not been effectively implemented,and the current situation of English Teaching in senior high school needs to be improved.In view of this,this paper puts forward some countermeasures for teachers:(1)to carry out English unit teaching based on theme context in senior high school English classroom;(2)to change the wrong cognition of discourse study and adopt the method of "what,what,how";3)to make full use of the teaching materials,to excavate the cultural knowledge in the teaching materials,to prepare the lessons carefully and to supplement the cultural knowledge for students in time;(4))Change the traditional teaching concept of "oral English is not important",create a language environment,adhere to the English teaching,stimulate students’ learning motivation,reduce students’anxiety,and encourage students to speak English;(5)increase students’ input of English vocabulary,set up specialized English writing courses,and increase students’English writing training;(6)strengthen theoretical guidance,Optimize strategy training teaching.This paper puts forward some countermeasures for the students:(1)to actively learn excellent cultural knowledge at home and abroad with the help of multimedia,newspapers and magazines;(2)to make efforts to correct their bad English learning habits and enhance their awareness of cognitive strategies.To be sure,due to the limitation of time,condition and researcher’s level,there are still many deficiencies in this study.Nevertheless,this study has basically achieved the research purpose.The research results can provide reference for front-line teachers,deepen the understanding of front-line teachers’ view of learning activities,and comprehensively improve the current situation of English Teaching in senior high school based on the view of learning activities.
