A Report On The Translation Of Development And Sustainable Growth Of Mauritius(Excerpts)

At present,with the continuous progress of economic globalization,the demand for translation of economic texts is obviously increasing,and economic English is playing an increasingly important role in international communication.This translation practice report selects Chapter Six and Chapter Ten of Development and Sustainable Growth of Mauritius as the translation text.The book takes Mauritius’ s economy as the theme,using the method of model and hypothesis,not only explains the essential reason of Mauritius’ s sustainable economic development scientifically,but also calls on other African countries to learn from Mauritius’ s economic transformation model.This report consists of four chapters.Among them,the first chapter is a brief introduction of the translation task,including two parts: background of the translation task and task description.In the task description,the translator makes a detailed analysis of the content,language features and text types of the source text;the second chapter is the process description,including preparations before translation,process of translating and post-translation quality assurance;the third chapter is case analysis,focusing on the nominalized structure and translation methods of long and complex sentences.The fourth chapter is the conclusion,including summary and limitations.The translator summarizes the achievements of this translation practice and reflects on her own shortcomings in the process of translation.
