The Study Of Xie Tiao’s Articles

As a famous literary giant of period the Southern Qi Dynasty,Xie Tiao made tremendous achievements in the new style of poetry and the painting poetry which exceeded six dynasties and were prominent as the leading one among a generation.In addition to the poetry,marvelous achievement he made in the parallel prose are also outstanding not as grand as in poetry,together with its less profound thoughts in the content with emphasis on the form,less attention paid to him.Xie Tiao Article is one of the important parts of his literary achievements with a total of 29 articles deserving certain research values as statistics showed.Now there are fragmental and weak researches on the study upon him.Although some articles arerelated to its rhetoric and prose,the scope of research is not wide and the classification standards are not consistent.It is evidence failing to testify for lack of systematical and comprehensive summary.Therefore,this passage conducts the discussion through regarding Xie Wei’s article as the research object in order to make up for assessment on his literary achievements.The passage consists of four chapters: the first chapter—Xie’s anecdotes and the re-examination in his literary years,combined with the three works in Xie’s literature including Wu Shutang’s Chronicle of Xie Tiao’s Life,Ge Xiaoyin’s Research on Xie’s Life,and Cao Rongnan’s Chronicle of Xie’s Life and Poetry Department of the Year" three works of Xie’s literature department,offering new evidence of examination and supplement for the disputed aspects.Life story is mainly about his time for the official-to-be,term for Jingzhou,the period of working as an libationer in the eastern court of Wang Jianwei’s Army as well as the research on the matter as to Zhu Fang.Besides,this part gives a textual research on the creation time of five articles,such as Fu for High Pine Trees,Fu for Going Back,Offering Biao to Poyang King,Opened for the Thanks for the Kuaiji Mayor on Behalf of Wang Jingze and Facing the East Sea Zhuge Jugu Jiao.The second chapter is the study on his thoughts and content in Xie’s with the main research object on the Article in Cao Rongnan’s Collation and Annotation on Xie Xuancheng,divided into three types: practical writings in politics,rhetoric and Fu Literature,inscriptions and funeral orations according to similar functions and identical subjects.The first section discusses about the practicality of Xie’s practicalarticles in politics in the light of the historical background.The second section is aimed at Xie’s books,the inscriptions,the funeral orations,with textual research on its historical figures involved and the summary of those.The third section mainly divides Xie’s into four subcategories to study his ideological connotation and compare the articles with the same subjects involved.The third chapter is the study of the art of language form inherent in his works with the balanced sentence as the research object in the first section and a summary of its form and type.The second section is to discuss the art of allusion in his,giving statistics on the use and analysis on the ideological connotation of its methods and high-frequent allusions.The third section is the analysis of Xie’s ornate dictions and the study of its artistic features in terms of wording and rhetoric.The fourth section focuses on the study of the elegant sound in Xie’s articles.The fourth chapter is the study of the interaction between Xie’s poetry,with description of scenery and praise of objects regarded as are an intersection in the poem and the text of the content.There is an inherent consistency in the methods of the praising method and the way of describing the scenery.Xie’s poems and essays also pay attention to the study on Songs of Chu,in addition to another common aspect in the ideological content of Xie’s poetry—a strong cryptic appeal.
