| Fairness is the goal of human society.Social fairness is a direct reflection of the concept of fairness in human society, and social fairness has always been one of the key areas of social psychology. However, academia and all walks of life are deeply puzzled that after the market reform, the enormous improvement of productivity objectively improves people’s material living standards in all aspects, but has not produced the ideal citizen’s sense of fairness. It seems that citizens of all social strata are not satisfied with their living environment. The sense of social justice has self-evident significance for social stability.Based on the theory of relative deprivation, this study finds that the subjective internal evaluation of individuals changes when compared with others who are similar to themselves. In addition,if the present foresees future changes, individual subjective feelings will fluctuate. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore whether social comparison and expectation will play a role in the psychological process between this class and social justice.Study 1 used the "Survey of Residents’Income Attitudes" published by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2016.The subjects were mobile phone users from all over the country. There are 15338 valid samples in this data. After controlling demographic variables, stratified regression analysis of the data shows that the objective social stratum can positively predict the sense of social justice:the higher the objective social stratum, the higher the sense of social justice.Subjective social stratum can negatively predict the sense of social justice, that is,the higher the subjective social stratum, the lower the sense of social justiceBased on the findings of study one, study two continues to examine the factors that affect social strata and social justice. The results of study 2 show that after controlling demographic variables, social comparison plays a mediating role between the subjective social stratum and the sense of social equity. That is,the higher the subjective social stratum is,the lower the social comparison is,and the more inclined to get a negative sense of fairness experience. In the third study, the expected variables are added to the study of the relationship between the subjective social stratum and the sense of social justice. The third study finds that social expectation can partly influence the sense of fairness by the intermediary stratum. That is,the lower the subjective social stratum is,the higher its expectation is,and correspondingly produces a higher sense of social equity experience. Therefore, this study concludes that both social comparison and expectation can mediate the impact of some social strata on the sense of faimess. The sense of fairness is a process of construction. It is psychosocial. In other words,it has the nature of social psychology. Its nature is inseparable from society, the identification of social members themselves and the corresponding psychological process. In addition, the social stratum in which social actors live has a significant impact on them, which is reflected not only in explicit behavior, but also in cognition. It is the original intention of this study to explore whether this cognitive schema will have an impact on social justice and what factors it will affect. |
