| With the arrival of knowledge economy era,the essence of enterprise competition has gradually evolved into the competition for talents.As the principal resource,human resources are the most crucial assets of enterprises and have been greatly valued.Performance management also serves as the core part of human resources management.As the world’s leading provider of ICT infrastructure and intelligent terminals,Huawei has been accelerating its pace of globalization in recent years.The strong employee performance management system has provided a guarantee for Huawei to explore the international market,and its translation also serves as an important step towards its internationalization.The report is based on the author’s first translation of chapters of Huawei Performance Management Law with the guidance of Skopos theory.Through the translation practice,the translator intends to let foreign enterprises have a new understanding of China’s employee performance management,supply the knowledge gaps in the field of enterprise performance management from the perspective of eastern countries,and thus promote the development and dissemination of China’s enterprise management culture.How to convey the message effectively and accurately in its translation has always been a question that remains the focus of this paper.The report mainly includes the following four parts: Chapter One introduces the translation project;Chapter Two describes the process of translation practice,including pre-translation preparations,in-translation processes and a post-translation improvement;Chapter Three expounds on the specific case study.As the main part of the report,this chapter mainly includes three parts,firstly,the author briefly introduces the Skopos theory and its three principles,furthermore the author introduces the linguistic features of enterprise management texts and principles of translation of enterprise management texts.Finally,through specific cases,the translation methods of enterprise management texts under the guidance of Skopos theory are specifically discussed and translation techniques such as conversion and omission are adopted.Chapter Four is the conclusion of the thesis,which summarizes the harvests and discovery gained from the practice,as well as the deficiencies and problems to be solved. |
