| This is a translation report based on the translation of the non-literary text called Physical Education and Wellbeing.The first three parts are chosen from the book as the original text.This is a book about children’s physical education.Based on PE theories,PE models,PE methods,it focuses on the significance of physical education,physical education’s influence on children’s development,the problems faced by modern physical education and the exploration of educational method which can promote health and physical education.Guided by Katharina Reiss’ s Text Typology,this paper analyzes the text type and language features of the original text,and proposes the corresponding translation strategies.The translator adopts the communicative translation theory of Peter Newmark to guide this translation practice in the process of translation.This translation report is divided into four chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the background,significance and layout of the practice.Chapter 2 introduces the linguistic features and contents of the original text.Chapter 3 is the center of the translation report,which describes the three processes of translation: before,during and after translation,and points out the translation difficulties,introduces the two theories used in the translation practice report,and illustrates how to adopt various translation strategies in translation and modification.Chapter 4 includes a summary and the problems to be solved. |
