Along with the “blowout” growth in the demand for Chinese learning in many countries around the world,the Confucius Institute Online has also achieved sustained and rapid development.In order to better help global Chinese learners learn Chinese knowledge and understand Chinese culture through the Internet,the Confucius Institute Online has established a “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform in 2017.The platform currently has more than 100 online courses and provides rich online learning resources including HSK exams,Chinese language learning,Chinese culture,and teacher training courses etc..MOOC(Massive Open Online Course)is a new model emerged in the development of online courses in recent years.It provides an integration platform for online education and teaching resources scattered in various fields,and is considered as an efficient and convenient way to learn.Although MOOC has many advantages,there are still some problems in curriculum setting and teaching quality.As a window for spreading Chinese language and culture,the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs”platform has the mission of promoting Chinese culture and enhancing the international influence of Chinese language.However,the current research on the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform is not yet in-depth.To this end,this thesis will build an evaluation index system,evaluate the online courses in the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform,collect the evaluation data,analyze the results,and finally make relevant suggestions in order to improve the quality of the platform construction.This thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the research background,including the development background and current situation of Confucius Institute Online,and the significance,methods,purpose and objects of this thesis.The second chapter summarizes the relevant research literature review,mainly sorting out the relevant evaluations and theoretical studies of online courses.The third and fourth chapters are the main part of this thesis.The third chapter is the establishment of the evaluation index system,illustrates the main principles of online course evaluation,and determines the objects and subjects of the evaluation.On the basis of studying a large number of domestic and foreign online course evaluation standards,selected “The Online Curriculum Evaluation Standard CELTS-22.1” as the foundation,combining with the characteristics of the “Global Confucius InstituteMoocs” Platform,and finally completed the establishment of the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs ” platform course evaluation index system.The whole system is divided into five dimensions: course content,teaching design,interface design,technology and teacher competence.which are subdivided into 26 secondary indexes and 36 tertiary indexes.In chapter four,according to the previous chapter,30 course samples are selected for evaluation,and the data results are processed and analyzed with EXCEL and SPSS.The fifth chapter mainly points out the deficiencies in the development of the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” Platform,and puts forward corresponding Suggestions for improvement based on the analysis results.Chapter six points out the innovations and weakness of this thesis.In view of assessment,the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform has advantage in course content arrangement,interface design and teachers’ teaching ability,but there are still some problems in course practice and platform interaction,which need to be improved.In the end,it is hope that the evaluation criteria and some possible suggestions given in this thesis can provide some references for the improvement and construction of “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform,so as to enhance the teaching quality and effectiveness of platform course,with which the “Global Confucius Institute Moocs” platform can provide better services in the area of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
