| In order to popularize Chinese language and Chinese culture to people all over the world, the Chinese government established the Chinese Leading Group Office and the Confucius Institute directly under the Ministry of Education in Beijing in 2003.In November 2004,the Seoul Confucius Institute was established in Seoul,South Korea for the first time.Since then,Confucius Institutes have been established on a large scale in various countries around the world.According to Article 1 of Chapter One of the "Confucius Institute Constitution",the goal of the Confucius Institute is to enhance the understanding of Chinese language and culture among the people of the world, develop friendly relations between China and other countries, promote the development of various cultures in the world, and contribute to building a harmonious world Contribute. The main tasks of the Confucius Institute are to expand Chinese teaching, train local Chinese teachers, supervise Chinese language proficiency and proficiency tests, carry out traditional and contemporary Chinese studies, and carry out Chinese cultural exchange activities such as art, traditional Chinese medicine, martial arts, and cooking. However, after the "COVID-19",most Confucius Institutes have been reducing the scale of operations and cannot make full use of their existing advantages. Therefore, this research will specifically understand the current operating status of Confucius Institutes in South Korea and propose corresponding improvement plans for Confucius Institutes. In particular,it is necessary to understand the operating status of the Confucius Institute in Korea after the "new coronavirus pneumonia",and explore the corresponding countermeasures. In addition, the Korean Confucius Institute, which previously only conducted on-site lectures, only offered online lectures because of the "new coronavirus pneumonia".How is it different from the existing online lectures? In order to be able to provide high-quality online lectures,I would like to recommend the use of "flipped classrooms".In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this research is divided into four chapters. The specific content of each chapter is as follows:Chapter 1: The development status and characteristics of Confucius Institutes in Korea.Based on digital statistics, comparative analysis, and comprehensive research, the characteristics and existing problems of Korean Confucius Institutes in the development process are sorted out as a whole.Chapter 2: Comparative analysis of the definition of online education, the types of online education and the websites of Chinese online lectures in Korea.Chapter 3: Based on the previous research, put forward the concept of sustainable development model of Confucius Institute in Korea after the "COVID-19".This paper proposes the direction of the operating status and development direction of the Korean Confucius Institute. From the research,it can be seen that since the "COVID-19",the Korean Confucius Institute has no special advantage in the competition with private Chinese education institutions.Global infectious disease experts predict that even if a complete "COVID-19" vaccine is developed,it will take 3-5 years for the safety of the world. Therefore, there is a high probability that the Confucius Institute will continue to expand online teaching methods in the future. And in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, with the continuous development of science and technology,we have ushered in the 5G era. Therefore,Confucius Institutes in Korea should continue to research and develop Chinese language teaching programs using the Internet. |
