Ziqi Li,a creator of short video,shot to global stardom after her videos were spread all over the world.The contents and her web-influence result in the discussion of cultural transmission in China.In this case,the author selects Li’s videos as a case study subject,who compares the video playback amount of top 50 between Li’s Weibo and Facebook,and tries to analyze the cultural elements in her videos in order to find an innovative way for Chinese cultural transmission to the world.This thesis roughly analyzed four aspects of Chinese elements presented in Li’s videos:cuisine culture,folk culture,clothing culture,and cultural reason.Chinese folk culture involves the folk art handicrafts and traditional festivals.This paper analyzes the similarities and differences of short videos,which are the top 50 hits in Li’s Weibo and Facebook.It is found that Chinese and foreigners have something in common,but not all,on the inclination of culture.For explanation,the Chinese and the West think differently and share disparate values but they have the same feeling on beautiful things of culture.The video content and international influence of Ziqi Li,make a lot of sense and have significant implications for internationalization of Chinese culture.Meanwhile it sets the Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL)thinking a lot.On the one hand,China should encourage we-media to spread the right Chinese culture,making great use of its function.And cross-cultural communication on we-media should be supported to increase the interaction between China and the West.By this means,China’s story will achieve success on the world stage.One the other hand,the teaching content in international Chinese education should stay close to reality,life and the foreign student,increasing the humanity in teaching.The cultural activities should be various,exploiting the innovative content from the social and cultural topics and making it more attractive.The current events should be integrated with the class,enlightening the students to recognize and explore those common in humans.The teacher should learn more Chinese talents and teaching skills to be the successor and communicator of China’s great culture.Besides,the lessons of experience should be concluded timely and the real and friendly teacher image should be established.
