China’s five thousand year history of civilization has been flowing in the river of "great unity".The idea of great unity has long been integrated into the blood of the Chinese nation. There has been a close relationship between all ethnic groups.Although the Republic of China is faced with the reality of frequent wars and political turmoil, the process of promoting national reunification has never stopped.Suiyuan is located in the front line of the intersection of agriculture and animal husbandry.Through the grafting and blending of different civilizations,it not only pushes Mongolia into the melting pot of national unity gradually, but also breaks the stagnant water of nomadic society, and makes the national connection from decentralization to integration. Therefore,it has formed a strong and sustained national cohesion and centripetal force, and has become an iron wall against foreign aggression. In the 1930s,the nobles of Inner Mongolia, headed by the king Dewang, rebelled against the trend of national unity, took "rejuvenating the Mongolian ethnic group" as the banner, insisted on "autonomy",and finally went to the shameful road of colluding with the Japanese aggressors to split the motherland.Their actions ran counter to the overall development trend of China,so their actions against the trend were resisted and rejected by the national government and the people. This shows the Chinese people’s belief in "pluralism and unity" and their hope and pursuit of unity. This kind of consciousness of the Chinese nation not only shows the evolution trend of modern China, but also shows the indestructibility of the Chinese nation community. This paper mainly includes the following three parts:First,in order to maintain the feudal privileges, the Mongolian nobles headed by the king Dewang, from 1927 to 1936,embarked on the road of joining the Japanese invaders from seeking "autonomy" and turned into shameful national splitters. This is not only the result of the expansion of its political ambition, but also the product of the Japanese imperialism’s policy of splitting the Chinese nation.A joint play of the two to establish the "great Mongol state" was put on,and with the outbreak of the "Suiyuan Anti Japanese War",it was destroyed.Second,it discusses the direct reasons from "autonomy" to the failure of the separatist movement. This movement is based on the premise of sacrificing national interests and the purpose of maintaining the privileges of feudal princes and nobles. Therefore,it is inevitable that it will be strongly rejected by the national government and the people.Third,to explore the deep-seated reasons from "autonomy" to the failure of the separatist movement.First of all,it analyzes the economic integration of Mongolia and Han so that the economic life of the Mongolian and Han ethnic groups is closely connected;secondly,it combs the national integration pattern of mutual construction and mutual inlay so that the Mongolian and Han ethnic relations are closely integrated;finally,it proves that the historical mainstream of the great unity of the Chinese nation cannot be violated. The analysis of Dewang’s process from "autonomy" to division, the direct and deep-seated reasons for the failure of division are not only to investigate its historical truth and original cause, but also to deepen the understanding of the historical tradition of "great unity" and the trend of the era of national integration,so as to strengthen the deep understanding of the Chinese national community in the new era. This is the need of inheriting, enriching and developing Chinese civilization. It is also the need of consolidating the socialist national relations closely held by pomegranate seeds and safeguarding the reunification of the motherland.
