"Childhood Scenes" is a piano suite of Schumann, the German romantic musician in19 th century. It is composed of 13 short pieces of music depicting the scenes of children’s lives. Each time when performing or hearing this set of songs, the author’s childhood reverie will be aroused. This paper analyzes Schumann’s works of "Childhood Scenes" from two aspects: textual research and second creation. The article is divided into three parts.Chapter one is introduction of relevant background information of "Childhood Scenes";Chapter two discusses the expression of Schumann’s creative features in "Childhood Scenes",and this chapter is mainly an analysis of "Childhood Scene" in the perspective of the first creation. The third chapter analyzed by examples representative scores in "Childhood Scenes" from the two aspects of main tone texture and polyphonic texture, and selects two piano masters of different periods who are enlightening to me: one is American pianist Vladimir Horowitzon, and the other is Chile contemporary pianist Claudio Arrau. The chapter explores the two pianists’ recreation of "Childhood Scenes",and the author’s reflection on the second creation of "Childhood Scenes".
