A Report On The Translation Of Informative Text Tasks From The Perspective Of Text Typology Theory

This thesis is a practice report on E-C translation.Based on the translation tasks that the writer finished as an intern in Voice Resources Department of Iflytek,this essay explores the translation of informative texts from the perspective of text typology.Four sections are included in this report: the first section is about translation task description and text characteristics;the second section elaborates the preparation of translation,translating process and proofreading;the third section consists of theory introduction and translation case analysis.By retrospecting the origin of text typology theory and analyzing the type,function and language features of the source text,the writer intends to analyze the translation cases in three aspects as accuracy,logic and thoroughness.For accuracy,the analysis is based on words,especially the translation of specialized vocabulary,and information restructuring in sentences.Logic is to demonstrate the logical relationship in the target text,the writer uses techniques such as embedding and syntactic linearity,anastrophe,etc.As for thoroughness,the writer uses elucidation,amplification and annotation to make the translation more complete.The fourth section is summary.The writer sums up her gains and weak points in this essay,and her future expectations.
