Study On The Image Of Fish In Song Lyrics

Fish,as a very important cultural symbol in the life of ancient Chinese ancestors,has entered literature and has become a rich connotation of poetry image through the evolution and creation of past dynasties.Of the nearly 20,000 words in Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry,1,127 have fish images,and in this large number of words,fish images also show more distinctive use characteristics and artistic functions in the soil of song lyrics with their own literary traditions.This paper will use Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry as the basic document,and from the use types,prototype analysis,artistic expression,emotional sustenance and other aspects of the fish image in Song Ci,referring to cultural studies,literary theories and other theoretical methods to explore the fish image in Song Ci,so as to enrich and expand the study of Song Ci image.The thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter starts with the origin of fish culture and analyzes the prototype symbol of fish image in Song Ci.Fish,as totem and reproduction worship in the pre-Qin period,occupies an important position in the production and life of the ancestors with its practical function.With its cultural connotation,fish has become a materialized cultural symbol in people’s life,embodied in many aspects such as living utensils,clothing and etiquette,and finally moved from culture to literary creation.The symbol of love and marriage in Book of Songs is the use of fish at the beginning of literary image.Through the evolution of generations,the fish image in Song Ci is used more frequently and widely,which also produces more abundant connotation.In the second chapter,1127 words related to fish images in Complete Collection of Song Ci Poetry are classified and counted according to their usage.Among them,whether the word "fish" appears directly,or specific fish such as "mackerel","carp" and "perch" are used in the word,or the word "scale" is used to refer to fish in the word.These fish images are either based on the original meaning of the fish,or based on the specific connotation formed in the literature and social culture of the previous generation,and are transferred to living utensils in the form of prototype images.They are abstracted into concrete and produce unique symbolic functions.They are dividedinto four categories: the "fish" of scenery,the "fish" of fishing,the "fish" of feasting,and the "fish" of utensils.The third chapter probes into the emotion of the fish image in Song Ci,and analyzes and discusses it from the three aspects of love lovesickness,friendship reward,official and implicit aria.The fish image in Song Ci,whether appearing as non-concrete fish characters or referring to a certain kind of fish,often goes beyond itself and has more abstract symbolic meaning.These fish images are either used to refer to the relationship between men and women,monarch and minister,or as emotional carriers of friends for feasting,or to express the desire to stay away from officialdom and retire to the mountains.Different emotions are used in different occasions and moods,enriching the connotation of fish images.The fourth chapter discusses the artistic expression of fish image in Song Ci.Imagery is not only the reaction of the objective world,but also a language symbol with a certain meaning after the fusion of objective existence and subjective emotion,which has an artistic function beyond the description of scenery.The fish image in Song Ci not only constitutes the content of the Ci,but also produces important artistic functions in three aspects: the organic combination with other images,the quotation of allusions,and the construction of aesthetic Ci.
