As a form of expression in painting art,or more precisely as a style in applied art,caricature occupies a specific position in modern applied art with its intuitive image,real sense of life and beauty’s appeal.It has its own aesthetic characteristics and functions.As an inevitable outcome of the development of modern and contemporary art,caricature can be said to give us unlimited imagination space.Caricature creation is inseparable from caricature language such as humor,satire,exaggeration,narrative,cartoon,which makes the artistic work more charming.At all times and all countries,not limited to comics art,whether it is oil painting,sculpture,ink painting or mural painting,the image created by the art works is exaggerated and grotesque,expresses humor and satire with narrative and cartoon content,which are obvious caricature language features.Although the term "caricature" was clearly proposed in modern times,and it becomes an exact substantive concept and independent discipline a little later,the existence of caricature can be traced back to ancient times in the historical context.Caricature language has always infiltrated in artistic creation and its application in different arts is the focus of this thesis.The author will start with the analysis of caricature art and art with caricature features,and explore the characteristics of comics from the literature with clarifying caricature connotation and caricature semantic expression in order to demonstrate the role of caricature expression and its importance in art.Furthermore,after tracing back the comic works of art,we will explore issues in comic language and discuss the application of caricature expressions such as humor,satire,exaggeration,narrative,cartoonization in different kinds of arts.In addition,we will analyze the caricature semantic expression of art works that is an entry point to study the evolution of caricature emotional emotion in art,and explore the methodological significance of caricature semantic expression in different kinds of art to emotional expression in artistic creation.The author will definite the boundaries between different types of art,diversify the caricature language.This thesis is also committed to make the comic semantic expression have a broad expression space and show vitality in the context of the new era.This thesis will extend caricature semantic expression to philosophical level,analyze caricature semantic expression and its application from a philosophical perspective.Caricature semantic expression has its contradictory and feasibility.While conducting a specific textual analysis of caricature semantic expression,we comprehensively explore the contradiction and feasibility of caricature language,and discuss the evolution process of the contradiction and feasibility of caricature art form and comics semantic expression and the changes in this process.
