Arrangement And Research Of Han Dynasty Pottery Decorations In Northern Henan

To decorate with patterns on pottery since begin at the Neolithic Age.The patterns represented people’s worship of nature and life.In the Han dynasty,the state has been unify and the economic developed stabled.So the pottery as the daily used and burial,the patterns developed as also.The north of Henan is located in the Central China,the Han dynasty ruins are very rich.However,there are few systematic researches on the patterns of Han Dynasty pottery in the north of Henan Province.This thesis collects and organizes the patterns on the pottery that unearthed relices from the Han dynasty ruins,and find it is concentrated in some certain pottery categories.Therefore,based on the archaeological typology method,the pottery is re-integrated and staging,and divid into five stages.On the basis of this era,we can come to the conclusion the the colored patterns were mainly distributed in Xinxiang and jiyuan in the early and middle period of the western and in Jiaozuo in the Eastern Han dynasty.And most of the carved patterns are distributed in the Eaetern Han dynasty.The specific research on the patterns of the Han Dynasty,mainly focuses on the classify of the patterns,the historical issues related to its content and the issues related to itself.About the classify of the pattern,according to the different production method,it can be divided into three kinds: colour patterns,crafts and carved.The meaning of the patterns and their relationship to the type of the pottery and the color of the patterns used,we can learned that the people in the northern Henan in Han Dynasty were worshipped life,gods and the feared of the ghost.Based on the analysis of the combination of typical utensils and the shape of tombs in the Han Dynasty,this paper divides the typical utensils into different periods,and then summarizes the evolution characteristics of pottery patterns in the Han Dynasty.Through the analysis of the words in each kind of the patterns,we can realized that the content of which involve all aspects of politices,economy and culture of the northern part of Henan.At the same time,it provides the evidence for some controversial naming issues.According to the analysis of the description of the patterns and the pictures of the patterns in the excavation report,this paper makes a brief summary of the patterns making methods and tools of the Han Dynasty pottery in the north of Henan Province.The research on the decorative patterns of Han Dynasty pottery in the north of Henan Province can not only fill the blank of theresearch on the decorative patterns of Han Dynasty pottery,but also further understand the life and ideological changes of Han Dynasty people in the north of Henan Province In a word,the research on the potterns on pottery of Han Dynasty in northern Henan,has the great significance to the study of archaeology in Han Dynasty in northern and the study of the the patterns on pottery.
