Exploration Of Children’s Picture Book Design On The Theme Of "Shan Hai Jing"

The book of mountains and seas is an ancient book of the pre Q in Dynasty,which is rich in myths and legends.It has an important artistic value and has a great reference for modern literature and animation creation.The book of mountains and seas is full of various fantastic stories,which are the ima gination crystallization of the pre Q in people.These legendary mythological elements have become the theme of many artistic creations.At the same time,Shan hai jing,as a cultural treasure,its interesting content is very consistent with the specific dissemination to children.However,most of the works on the market are for adults to read,which can not effectively convey their cultural connotation to children,and the serious homogenization,single content,rough drawing,monotonous story and other problems can not meet the children’s reading need.This graduation project hopes to use the visual communication theory learned in the past three years to create and interpret the mythological stories in the book of mountains and seas,and display them in the way of picture book through children’s illustration and new story compilation,so as to help children better understand and understand the ancient Chinese traditional culture.The innovation of this paper lies in that,unlike the previous illustration creation of Shanhaijing,which focuses on gorgeous visual experience and presentation,this graduation design hopes to present the classic myth prototype of Shanhaijing by selecting the theme of Shanhaijing,adopting the way of C hinese traditional culture and children’s aesthetics,and to design a children’s version of Shanhaijing that is more suitable for children’s acceptance,so as to promote the traditional culture To build cultural confidence,we should start from children.
