The current era is a pluralistic era and an era in which we vigorously develop our own culture.After the reform and opening up,Western culture and trendy art have flooded into the country,bringing a lot of impact to the study of Chinese traditional culture and art.The author believes that in this era of diversification,local artists should look at traditional Chinese culture from a new perspective,combine the advantages and characteristics of Chinese and Western art,and continue to inherit and innovate while retaining the essence of the original culture.The author has long explored the application of synthetic materials in the creation of oil paintings,attempting to create a series of artistic works with modern aesthetic concepts and expressions using the mythical images of Shan Hai Jing as a carrier,and combining the traditional elements of China to find a way to innovate for themselves..Through constant exploration and practice,the author created a series of works called"The Dream of the Floating Life".The inspirations of these three groups of works are all inspired by the author’s love and attention to the myth theme.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,expounding the author’s topic selection and its significance,research methods and ideas,the author’s creative work innovation.The second part is a general introduction to the Shan Hai Jing.The third part outlines the imagery world and the aesthetic consciousness of Shan Hai Jing.The fourth part is the author’s creative process,which elaborates on the creative works in terms of color,texture,and materials.The fifth part summarizes and prospects the author’s creation.Through the re-creation of the mythical images of the "Shan Hai Jing",the oil paintings and the traditional cultures accumulated for thousands of years collided with each other and blended with each other.Infuse more Chinese people’s traditional cultural symbols for Chinese oil painting creation.
