Study On Adjectives In Luzu Lisu Language

Based on field research and personal observed materials,supplemented by existing literature,this paper uses synchronic description method,semantics theory,structural linguistics theory and three plane theory to analyze 483 Lisu adjectives in Luzu village,LuzhangTownship Lushui country of Nujiang,in Yunnan Province.Using previously researched output of Chinese and Lisu language for reference,this paper mainly discusses the classification,reduplication,semantic features,combination functions and syntactic functions of adjectives.The thesis includes six parts and four chapters.The general contents are as follows:The first part of the introduction makes a brief summary of the research situation of Chinese adjectives and ethnic adjectives in China,then points out the basis,value and source of the topic,and finally analyzes the general features of LuzuLisu language and then a brief outline of phonology of Lisu language will be attempted.The second part defines and classifies the adjectives in Luzu Lisu language.This paper first distinguishes the adjectives and verbs in Luzu Lisu language,and then makes a simple classification of the adjectives in Luzu Lisu language.The adjectives in Luzu Lisu language are divided into the characteristic adjectives and the stativee adjectives.The third part analyzes the reduplication of adjectives in Luzu Lisu language,its syntactic function and semantic features.The reduplication of adjectives is divided into four categories:monosyllabic reduplication,disyllabic reduplication,parallel reduplication and affixation reduplication.The combination function of reduplication of adjectives is measured.Finally,the paper analyzes the semantic features from the two aspects of overlapping "degree meaning" and "emotion color".The fourth part analyzes the combination function of adjectives in Luzu Lisu language,and discusses the adjectives which can be combined with degree adverbs,negative adverbs and aspect adverbs.The fifth part analyzes the syntactic functions of adjectives in Luzu Lisu language,it then describes in detail the situation that adjectives in Luzu Lisu language acting as predicate,attribute,adverbial,complement and subjectThe sixth part is a conclusion,which summarizes the main finding of the study of adjectives in Luzu Lisu language,and also summarizes the shortcomings of the paper and the future research prospects.
