| Under the push of social demands and educational reforms,children English education has become a hot topic of social concerns.However,under the present secondary vocational teaching models,the talent training effects can’t really satisfy the social demands for professional talents.Paying more attention to the teaching methods and effects of English teaching to preschool education major in secondary vocational schools is not only helpful to deal with the practical conflict between the yearn for excellent child English teachers and the undistinguished English levels and teaching abilities of the students in preschool education major but also meets the needs of educational reforms.The study based on constructivism and pragmatism chooses the classes of preschool education major in some secondary vocational school,Hubei province as study subjects to carry out the teaching practice for one year and three months.First,by classroom observations and questionnaires aiming at knowing the current situation of students,it could be found that the training of students’ listening and speaking abilities,class organization abilities and other teaching skills are not enough.Then,a market research was conducted in the kindergartens,early childhood training institutions,and child parents,and it could be found that games,songs and story times are the most popular teaching patterns.On the basis of it,according to the students’ current situation,established in the textbooks,the projects of words games,English songs and story time teaching were designed and carried out in the teaching practice.Next,the study applied classroom observations,interviews,teaching records,tests as tools to record the practice process and results,and adopted a qualitative and quantitative study method to analyze the multivariate data and study the practice effects.Finally,the conclusion was made.The following conclusions can be drawn from this study.The application of project-based teaching method in English teaching to preschool education could lift students’ interests and involvement,promote the accomplishment of teaching aims,improve students’ study effects,and professional abilities.So the application of project-based teaching method contributes to improving the teaching effects of English Teaching to preschool education in secondary vocational schools. |
