| The "Der Freischutz"("the magic catapult")also known as "the free shooter",was composed by German composer Carl Maria Von Weber(1786-1826),which premiered at the Royal Theatre in Berlin on June 18,1821.The ingenious combination of distinctive German national style,strong romantic color,novel musical language and stage special effects makes the audience deeply attracted by this work.In the following year,it has performed more than 50 performances and achieved great success.The successful performance of "Der Freischutz",which is full of German national identity,is regarded as a great victory of German opera against Italian and French Opera under the social background of the popularity of French and Italian opera.It is also regarded by music historians as a symbol of the birth of German nationalism and romanticism opera.The strong repercussions of this opera made Weber become the founder of German romantic music.In the "Der Freischutz",composer Weber created a simple kind,sentimental but confident and hope in love character--the heroine Agate.Her vivid image runs through the whole opera,and plays a vital role in promoting the plot development of the work.This paper takes the soprano Agate in the "Der Freischutz" as the research object,and discusses the music analysis and the characterization of Agate’s aria in the "Der Freischutz".The article is divided into the introduction,the first chapter,the second chapter,the third chapter and the conclusion.The introduction mainly expounds the reason of the topic,the research status at home and abroad,the main research methods and innovations,the main research content,and the purpose and significance of the topic.The first chapter gives a brief introduction of the author’s life,creative background and the development of the plot.The second chapter,from harmony,form,melody,orchestration,accompaniment and other aspects,carries on the concrete music analysis to two aria of Agate.The third chapter analyzes the heroine Agate’s personality characteristics,at the same time,combined with the author’s own singing experience and emotional experience,combined with the lyrics and situation,summarizes how to better interpret Agate’s character image on the stage. |
