Based on Prof.Hu Gengshen’s Eco-translatology theory, this paper explores how to translate tea culture stories adaptively in multiple dimensions according to the different translation ecological environments of English and Chinese.Taking the Chinese-English translation of The Thousand and One Leaves(Tea Culture in Stories)as an example, this paper discusses appropriate translation strategies based on the differences between Chinese and English language and the difficulties in C-E translation from three dimensions——language, culture and communication.Through the case study, the conclusion is drawn:translators must actively adapt to the"translation ecological environment" when translating tea culture works, and make adaptive choices in language, culture, communication and other dimensions to achieve a reasonable conversion.Only in this way can Chinese stories be told well and Chinese tea culture be widely spread.
