In 2014,Yan Lianke became the first Chinese writer to win the Kafka Prize for his work The Four Books.Created by the Franz Kafka Society in the Czech Republic, the prize is given to writers whose work reflects human concern.Yan Lianke’s works are influenced by Kafka, the originator of modernism in the 20 th century to some extent. In many ways, his works show the same spiritual core with Kafka, that is,he pays attention to the current situation of human existence. In the novel, the body is both the subject and the object of the narrative, and it is also a very important narrative means in their works. The body in the narrative state becomes a narrative tool in the novel, and as an important image,it has a complex function. This paper takes "body narration" as the breakthrough point, combines the sociological significance of body, and analyzes the body narration in the novels of the two writers. The introduction mainly defines the concept of body narration, combs body narration and the research status of the two writers in this field, and expounds the significance of the topic and the main research methods of the comparative study of body narration in the novels of the two writers. The first chapter mainly explores the source of body narration in Yan Lianke’s and Kafka’s novels and analyzes the influence of body on the two writers from the two aspects of childhood shadow and growth experience. The second chapter mainly analyzes the similarities and differences of the body forms in the novels of the two writers. The same body forms are mainly the body of disease and the body of materialization.Among the different body forms,Yan Lianke mainly focuses on the revelry body under the indulgence of sexual desire, while Kafka focuses on the deformation body of animal type. The third chapter mainly discusses the similarities and differences of the two writers’ narrative strategies in the body narrative. The similarities between the two are mainly the shaping of the real "absurd body" and the body of the little people bearing the load. The difference is that Yan Lianke’s body narrative is intertwined with the countryside, which reflects the primitive and simple artistic characteristics.Kafka’s body narrative is carried out under the state of urban development and disorder.Through the above discussion, the conclusion is drawn from the comparative study of the body narration in the novels of Yan Lianke and Kafka, and the spiritual core reflected in their body narration is the concern to the plight of human existence.
