A Study Of Relegation Poetry On The Lingnan Official Roads In The Northern Song Dynasty

The Song Dynasty was one of the most prominent dynasties in history,especially the Northern Song Dynasty.As far as the Northern Song Dynasty is concerned,the Lingnan region is the southernmost and most marginal place,and the phenomenon of relegation is very representative.Under the historical background of the relegation of the Northern Song Dynasty,this article takes the official roads of the Central Plains into and out of the Lingnan area as the research starting point to explore the poems written by the relegated poets in the Lingnan official roads.The relegated poets in the Northern Song Dynasty traveled from the Central Plains to the places of relegation through Lingnan official roads.The Northern Song Dynasty Lingnan Official Road is an inland transportation trunk line developed on the basis of the previous generations.There are three main official roads from west to east: Xianggui Road in the west,Qitian Road in the middle,and Dayu Road in the east.Lingnan Official Road,as an important transportation link between the Central Plains and Lingnan,has a vital role and position in terms of geographic location.When the relegated poet passed the Lingnan Official Road,he left a certain amount of poems.The author takes an overall view of the poetry created by the poet in Lingnan Official Road,and finds that the subject matter of the poetry is mainly divided into two categories: the poet’s socializing and singing along the way and the writing along the way.In singing and poetry,it is divided into two categories: reward and gift.In terms of singing and poems,some singing and poems reflect the poet’s superb poetry creation skills.In terms of the content of the poems to be sung,there are not only expressing the true feelings of the heart but also the regional cultural characteristics along the way.In the travel poems,this article discusses the three official roads of Xianggui Road,Qitian Road,and Dayu Road that the poet chose to understand the travel situation of Lingnan official road described by the relegated poet.This kind of poetry has certain documentary and historical value for studying the regional culture along the Lingnan official road.Finally,the academic circles generally believe that the relegation mentality of Northern Song poets is basically aloof and broad-minded.In fact,by carefully reading the poems created by the relegated poets when entering the mountain region,it can be learned that there are also depressed and low moods emerging;after practicing in the relegating lands and later being able to return back to the north,thus finally getting out of the mountain regions,the mentality thereof is basically once more broadminded and detached.That is to say,the mentality of the poets has went through the transition from the "depression due to relegation" when entering the mountain to the "detached upon returning" when leaving the mountain.It can be seen that their broadminded mentality undergoes a dynamic transformation process.
