Application And Expression Of The Symbol Of Animation In Science Popularization

Since 2016,when China planned to implement the science popularization and information project,the communication form of "Internet + Science Popularization" has become the general trend.With the rapid construction of Internet science popularization facilities in China,a group of popular science popularization websites have been built and are playing an important role.During this period,science popularization websites have realized the transformation from one-way information transmission mode to follow the "people-oriented" iterative content construction according to users’ needs.Through the development of a variety forms of science popularization,the website creates rich content of science popularization works to meet the audience’s interest and demand for scientific knowledge.Animation,due to its intuitive visualization and its own entertainment properties,has undoubtedly become an important carrier for the dissemination of science popularization content.Many well-known domestic popular science websites have also opened content columns for animation.This paper selects the animation content of " China Science Communication Network",a national science popularization brand website built by China Association for Science and Technology,as the research object.By using the methods of case study and content analysis,this paper summarizes the basic characteristics of animation production and operation of the website.From the angle of animation symbols,this paper analyzes the visual presentation and narrative expression of science popularization animation,as well as the influence of "Moe Elements" on the audience’s acceptance of science popular information.The research is mainly carried out from four aspects,namely,under the background of science popularization,the main types of China’s top 10 science popularization websites and the development of "China Science Communication Network" are analyzed.The animation of "China Science Communication Network" takes the original + mass creation micro animation mode as the production mode.It content mainly focuses on the current hot events to create and update,and it adopts the methods of shaping animation IP and production related derivative product operation path to expand the influence of science popularization animation.From the perspective of animation symbols,website animation has the language characteristics of symbolization,that is,to guide the audience into the narrative space with the role symbol as the narrative subject,and complete the process of symbolization narrative in the scientific scene.The results show that: In China,the science popularization animation is generally presented in the form of simulation demonstrating science popularization animation and the science animation with simple story scene setting.The animation has obvious strong science popularization traces in the narrative,which will affect the audience interest to some extent.The animation uses a lot of "Moe Elements" in the character shaping,and tries to cater to the audience’s aesthetic from the visual perspective.In general,if science popularization animation can balance the relationship between the scientific content and the fictional illusion of animation itself,it can further help science popularization animation achieve the integration of real knowledge and story,and let the audience learn and make progress in the entertainment.
