| Pragmatic functions can be expressed through discourse markers. This paper is aimed to derive the inter wheel relationship between the two sides of communication in conflict. The author agrees with professor Fang Mei’s point of view that"那"(Na)is a discourse marker. What’s more, the author conducts in-depth research by using conflicting discourses in life as corpus, following the core research theories of interactional linguistics, and paying attention to the turning transition of the communication, the relationship between the interactive process of the two communicators, the stimulus from the two communicators and the response of them to the stimulus. This paper mainly considers the pragmatic functions of the discourse marker"那"(Na)in the conflict talks with the influence on the communicative parties including the generation of conflict talks, the stimulation of conflict discourse on both parties in communication, and the process of conflict talks.Briefly,by analyzing the different syntactic forms of the sentence"那"(Na)in the conflicting talks and the resulting communicative effects, the author finds that the discourse marker"那"(Na)can be divided into two specific variant forms"那1"(Na1)and"那2"(Na2),after classifying and analyzing all the collected corpus.the autor tries to compare and study the differences between"那1"(Na1)and"那2"(Na2)from the four aspects:the grammaticalization process, pragmatic characteristics, sentence features, and location distribution,in order to find what is the relationship between the"那1"(Na1)and"那2"(Na2).On this basis, the author combines with in-depth researching on the cognitive differences between the communicative parties and the dynamic features in the advancing process of conflicting talks,it is found that there are three different parts.Specifically,"那"(Na)expresses a negative emotion as a kind of pragmatic mark.It will make the atmosphere of conflict more worse. While the variant form"那1"(Na1)still has the characteristics of conjunctions, which can form an interaction relationship of conditions and conclusions between the conversations of both parties in logically, and the focus of expression is to explain the rationality of the speaker’s own behaviors, which highlights an opposing positions of the two parties in a communication;the variant form"那2"(Na2)completely loses the characteristics of Conjunction. It only marks the speaker’s emotional dissatisfaction and grievance, especially when"那2"(Na2)is used at the beginning of a sentence. It contraries to the mutual understanding as a contradict views of both parties in the communication, which is in sharp opposition to personal emotions, and makes dissatisfaction even more prominent. It is worth noting that the atmosphere of opposition will be deeper in the same syntactic form, when you used the“Na1”."Na 2"focuses on refuting the speaker’s point of view from a new perspective. When the syntactic form is different, using the imperative sentences or rhetorical questions will intensify the conflict atmosphere.Instead, using the declarative sentences or modal particles will ease the tension.Combining all research results in this paper,a teaching design of the discourse marker"那"(Na)is designed from comprehensive courses and oral courses. The author pays attention to international students and mainly based on the principle of interactivity, and several targeted suggestions about discourse marker"那"(Na)are put forward to the teachers,in order to facilitate the development of related work in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. |
