This paper analyzes the emotional expression of the role based on the aria sung by Cleopatra in the opera Julius Caesar.Musical works are the foundation and place for the singer and the creator to express their emotions.Without musical works,there is no place for the emotional expression of the role.Emotion expression is the "bridge"between the performer and the audience,and the auditory and visual perspectives are the most intuitive.This paper will analyze the emotional expression of the roles from the following parts:firstly,the background and representative aria of Cleopatra’s role in the opera Julius Caesar are analyzed;Secondly,the emotional expression of the characters is analyzed from the perspective of hearing.Finally,the emotional expression of the characters is analyzed from the perspective of vision.By analyzing the emotional expression of the characters singing in the opera from the visual and auditory perspectives,it can also provide a powerful theoretical basis for the emotional expression of my concert works,and make full preparation for the practice of the concert.
