The selection and use of Chinese textbooks play a very important role in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Whether a textbook can combine science,objectivity and interest with the content of the textbook will directly affect the learning efficiency of learners when they use the textbook for learning.Mastering Chinese,the primary textbook of Chinese as a foreign language,is a novel textbook compiled under the guidance of the concept of functional teaching in recent years.Research is very little,so this paper is aimed at "Mastering Chinese" concept based on the function method,the grammatical functions of the lack of research,research and further thinking on the function method in the concept of writing teaching materials,teachers and students should learn how to teach and the teaching material,to the input of grammar knowledge internalization form output communication ability,To maximize the advantages of the textbook?This paper selects the textbook of the primary stage of "Mastering Chinese" as the research object,takes the basic concept of functional method as the theoretical basis,and makes a specific investigation and analysis from two aspects,namely,the selection and arrangement of grammatical function items and the selection and arrangement of grammatical exercises in the textbook.First of all,this paper makes an in-depth study on the writing concept of "Mastering Chinese".Secondly,in terms of grammatical function of project selection and layout,this paper USES the data analysis,comparative analysis,to select the function of the two basic outline as standard,the grammatical functions of "Mastering Chinese" project and the basic structure of expression list of statistical analyses,and the expression of function under the project of basic structure has carried on the statistics,This paper also makes a comparison with the Chinese textbook guided by the functional method and summarizes the characteristics of the selection and arrangement of grammatical function items in the textbook.Later,in the choreography of grammar exercises,based on the number of "Mastering Chinese" grammar exercises,questions and layout as the main investigation object,data statistical classification after detailed description analysis,and combine with other primary stage of Chinese as a foreign language textbooks of comparison,selection and layout of grammar exercises the corresponding summary.Finally,in the theoretical research,this article also uses the depth interview method,used in China the teachers and students to investigate and analysis of the teaching material,focus on understanding the grammatical functions of the teaching material selection and layout,grammar exercises selection and arrangement of the two Settings,and the teaching material of grammatical explore the practicability,pertinence,interesting,Then the interview content is sorted out,analyzed and summarized to collect teaching feedback on the grammar compilation of the textbook.Finally,on the basis of theoretical and practical analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:In terms of the selection and arrangement of grammatical function items,the selection of grammatical function items in "Mastering Chinese" has the characteristics of strong communication,strong practicality,uniform distribution and frequent repetition of grammatical function items,but also has the shortcomings of less selection types and lack of context introduction.In terms of the selection and arrangement of grammar exercises,the selection of grammar exercises in "Mastering Chinese" is characterized by strong targeted,rich forms and gradual arrangement,and at the same time,it also has shortcomings such as lack of cross-cultural communication knowledge background and lack of answers in grammar exercises.In view of the characteristics and shortcomings of the textbook,this paper puts forward some corresponding suggestions.When using the textbook in teaching,teachers should break the shackles of grammar rules,teach flexibly,create a real communicative environment,learn by using and learning by doing,adopt the acquired concept of teaching,and combine learning,induction and summary.Students should not only give full play to their subjective initiative,but also enhance their understanding ability when using the textbook,and use it in practice to learn flexibly.At the same time,when compiling the grammar,the textbook should have a clear writing idea,create a suitable communicative situation,pay attention to intercultural thinking,review and consolidation,etc.
