| Homework is an essential and an important step in the teaching process.It is an important method to test the effect of classroom teaching and is also an extension of classroom teaching content.English homework for junior middle school students can basically be divided into written homework,listening and speaking homework.Under the background of exam-oriented education,the traditional English homework for junior middle school students is more of a written work.Students don’t have many chances to practice listening and speaking.It is hard for teachers to detect the actual effect of listening and speaking practices.It is pointed out in the course standard that as a language discipline,there should be a lot of listening and speaking practices in English language teaching.Classroom practices are not enough.This requests us to extend listening and speaking practices after class.However,teachers will have to assign and check the homework,they will be burdened a lot.At the background of educational informationization,online homework platform was invented.The online homework platform which I will study is called "Cheese Net".It not only has the traditional examination-oriented written homework,such as multiple choices,cloze tests,reading comprehension exercises,but also include all kinds of listening and speaking practices,such as reading words according to phonetic symbols,reading the texts,video listening,man machine interaction and so on.In the course of this study,I will choose Cheese net platform to try out in grade eight students.Two classes will be selected for comparative experiments.One of them will continue to use cheese network platform to complete assignments online,the other class still uses traditional homework.In this way,I want to study the effect of using online homework platform in junior middle school English teaching.On the basis of Blended learning theory and Multimodal discourse analysis theory,I will use literature research method,interview method and questionnaire investigation method to study.The research result shows that online homework platform can to a certain extent,promote students’ interests,reduce English teacher’s teaching burden,and significantly promote the students’ English listening and speaking ability.This means that online homework platform application is feasible in practical English teaching.English teachers of junior middle school can properly combine traditional written work with online homework,to improve students’ comprehensive abilities,listening and speaking abilities simultaneously. |
