| This paper holds that there is cultural hybridization in the IP remake of foreign films and TV shows.In fact,it is the phenomenon of cultural chaos caused by the lack of autonomy and lack of localization in the process of cross-cultural communication when film and TV producers transplant foreign films and TV shows.The cultural hybridization of IP remade of foreign films and TV shows a prominent performance in many aspects of film and TV works.The element layer of the work is a mixture of visual symbols and spatial arrangement.The substitution of symbols and the decentric meaning of symbols lose cultural characteristics and weaken the ability to express culture.The displacement and simulation of space weaken the meaning of the original space in the narrative,resulting in the disintegration of space and story.The story layer,is the plot set-up confusion and character performance mixed.The stilted mix of "Chinese" contradictions left the audience confused;The character setting did not take the local reality environment into consideration.Instead,it copied the original character setting and mixed the local characters to form chaotic characters.The cultural layer is mainly manifested in the form of "cultural fragments" formed by cultural hybridization and the hollowing of meaning.As a matter of fact,the localization transformation is not closely related to Chinese culture,which makes the culture presented in many movies and television works in a chaotic state and fails to reflect the significance of culture.Although the IP remake of foreign film and television works that are popular with the audience does not get rid of cultural hybridization in a certain level,it succeeds in localization,and thus can cause a lot of problems.Especially in the core symbol,can express the local culture.Such as "Shanghai woman map" in the "Shanghai wutong" symbol.Shanghai wutong,as the core symbol of Chinese local culture,is not a traditional symbol with western elements,but it has become a symbol of modern Shanghai culture.It embodies the life and ideal of Luo Haiyan,the heroine.Some scholars use Homi Bhabha’s theory of cultural hybridity to explain the problem of cultural hybridization in the remake of foreign film and television IP.Homi Bhabha’s theory of cultural hybridity mainly studies the mutual influence between the colonized foreign culture and the native culture,which can resist the generation of hegemonic cultural "third space",a new cultural form of hybridity.The cultural hybridization of IP reproductions of foreign films and TV shows is mainly caused by the subjectivity of the creators.The original purpose of introducing foreign film IP is to borrow the experience of excellent works to obtain audiences and profits.However,in the process of secondary creation,there is a lack of resistance consciousness to excellent foreign film and television works.In the secondary creation,the original works are simulated and the transplanted foreign stories are not completely localized.The interlocualization and hybridization of the IP of foreign film and television reproductions will not only affect the acceptance of audiences,but also weaken the local culture and its influence.In the process of cross-cultural communication,how to use foreign film IP to tell Chinese stories well is not only an artistic problem,but also a practical problem worth thinking about. |
