Study On The Space Of Jia Pingwa’s Novel

As a contemporary writer,Jia Pingwa can not be ignored in the contemporary literary world.In terms of literary creation,he wrote incessantly and produced many novels in succession.He also had the courage to change and vary his writing style.In the literary world,there is no other writer like him.Since the beginning of “The Scrap Capital”,every work has attracted continuous attention,which is closely related to the writer’s continuous attention to the society and the innovation and reform in writing and novel style.Jia Pingwa’s space experience in Shangzhou and Xi’an makes him always pay attention to the development status of cities and villages,and sets the story space between cities and villages,so that the novel content presents two spatial forms of cities and villages.Jia Pingwa’s attitude towards novelty and change also makes his recent four novels present a spatial form,which not only has the application of spatial narration skills,but also gives the novel a spatial structure as a whole.This paper select Jia Pingwa creation ten novels as the research object,from the connotation of the space and space formation mechanism,the novel space imagery writing and cultural representations,the space form,the space novel writing four aspects to study the significance of space in the Jia Pingwa ’s novel,the novel space image writing and culture characterized with " The Abandoned City","White Night"," Earthy Door","Happy"," Old Gao village","Shaanxi Opera"," With Lamp" seven works as the analysis object,a novel space form with "With Lamp","A Flower","An Old Gentleman","The Mountain it is" four works as the object of a concrete analysis.Introduction: This paper mainly introduces the origin,research significance,sorts out the research status of the spatial research on Jia Pingwa’s novels,and clarifies the thinking and methods of the research in this paper.Body: There are four chapters.The first chapter starts with the key word "space" and studies the connotation of "space" and the generating mechanism of Jia Pingwa’s novels’ space writing.Mastery of connotation of "space" is the precondition of research space,content mainly includes two aspects,one is the historical evolution of the connotation of the "space" and space,it is the "space" on the level of literary theory,scholars square space of literature can be divided into space and space expression level on the level of content,the author is based on its classification,Jia Pingwa ’s novel space for content and expression level of space research.The generative mechanism of space writing starts from the writer’s space experience and space consciousness.The transformation of the writer’s space experience makes the novel space show the distinction between urban and rural areas,and the writer’s space consciousness makes the novel have distinct spatial characteristics.Characterization,the second chapter studies the novel space image and its culture is the content level of space research,Jia Pingwa ’s seven novels as object,the work space configuration is divided into two major categories of urban space and local Spaces,combined with the detailed text content and divided into nostalgia urban space,urban landscape space,urban gap space,rural geography space,rural daily life space,rural heterogeneous space,and the integrated use of geography,sociology,and spatial theory to different space characterized by the cultural implication.Space form of the novel,the third chapter research is expressing level of space research,Jia Pingwa recently published four novels as object,the spatial structure of the novel: the circle type structure,the structure of the set of cassette make notes,orange disc type structure,and the author in the text paper summarizes use of space narrative technique,main show is the juxtaposition of space and space time.The fourth chapter focuses on the meaning of space writing in the novel,and analyzes the meaning of space writing in the content level and the meaning of space writing in the expression level.The space writing at the content level of the novel has the social significance and aesthetic value of modernity speculation,which not only records the genealogy of urban and rural experience,but also reflects the writer’s enlightenment and introspection.The spatial form of novel expression makes the novel produce polyphonic artistic effect and constructs a polysemous literary world for readers.Conclusion: This paper reviews the theoretical support,prerequisite,and specific operation path of this paper as a whole,and explains the deficiencies and regrets of this paper,and makes expectations for the future of space research.
