English writing is an important part of English teaching.Students’ comprehensive ability can be improved through writing.It is an important tool not only for enriching students’ English knowledge,but also for correspondence.Therefore,English writing has been paid more and more attention.However,in current junior high school English teaching,there are still many problems.Teachers often ignore the students’ writing motivation and emotional experience in the process of writing.It’s an arduous task to fundamentally overcome and solve these problems.Therefore,it is necessary for English teachers in junior high school to try new teaching methods in English teaching.The research participants are 83 students selected from a junior high school in Tongliao City,involving two classes.One is the experiment class with 41 students and the other is the control class which has 42 students.The experiment lasted four months.The experimental class adopted Production-oriented approach,while the control class continued traditional teaching methods of writing.Data were collected through questionnaires,tests and interviews.SPSS was used for further analysis to study the following three questions:Question 1: What are the effects of Production-oriented approach on students’ English writing anxiety?Question 2: How does junior high school students’ English writing interest change through Production-oriented approach?Question 3: What are the effects of Production-oriented approach on students’ English writing ability?The conclusions are obtained through data analysis:(1)Through Production-oriented approach,students’ writing anxiety in English writing has been greatly reduced.(2)Production-oriented approach in junior high school can stimulate students’ interest in English writing.(3)After the Production-oriented approach,students’ writing ability has been improved.However,because the experiment has certain limitations,it still needs to be improved.Finally,it is hoped that these research findings can provide some references for English writing teaching in junior high school.
