| The 21st century is an era of multiple development and full of free choice.In such an era,consumption has become the key word of the times.As an important part of the current literature consumption,it is necessary to study and analyze the network literature.In terms of structure,this paper firstly takes symbols as a clue to linearly sort out the consumption theories of Baudrillard,Bourdieu and Featherstone,and in the process,through the method of comparative study,draws out the development and changes within the Western postmodern symbolic consumption theories.In general,from Baudrillard to Featherstone,Western postmodern symbolic consumption theorists’ understanding of symbols has undergone a transformation from total manipulation to active guidance;and the understanding of consumers has correspondingly shifted from passive recipients to dynamic audiences,and the formation of these transformations is not unrelated to the deepening development of consumption in Western society.The second part of the thesis takes Baudrillard,Bourdieu and Featherstone’s consumption theory as the perspective,and takes online literary consumption as the research object,analyzes and summarizes the motives of online literary symbolic consumption and its specific presentation forms,so as to discover the chaos and renewal in the online literary field under the intervention of capital.For example,in the current situation of consumerism,online literature presents mechanical reproduction production,the receding of literary glow,and the enrichment of literary genres in the positive sense.The last part of the thesis hopes to explore and summarize the new forms of symbolic consumption presented in the consumption of Chinese online literature from the perspective of theoretical reflection with the help of the phenomenological analysis in the second chapter.The reason for this analysis is that China is in a special social form where pre-modern,modern and post-modern coexist,and under such a special social form,it is not possible to analyze the internal consumption phenomenon simply by using Western post-modern symbolic consumption theory,although it is reasonable.Therefore,in the last part of the paper,the main purpose of this paper is to analyze the new changes and developments of the Western postmodern symbolic consumption theory in the Chinese context while exploring the new and unique consumption patterns presented in the consumption of online literature in China.Specifically,it focuses on the ideational closeness of symbols,the two-way interaction of media,and the weakening of capital’s intervention in field access. |
