| Calvino is one of the most famous writers in contemporary Italy.His novels are world-renowned in the literary world,among which the more famous are medium-length novels "Traveler in the Cold Winter Night","Invisible City" and "Ancestors Trilogy" with post-modern style.At present,the academic world’s research on Calvino’s novels is also focused on this.This thesis studies Calvino’s short stories and focuses on the theme intention of his short stories.But this kind of research is often neglected in Corvino’s novel research.Corvino’s short stories are many,and the form of Corvino style-light,witty,humorous.His short stories cover a wide range of subjects,including animal stories,war stories,and small characters.And the interpretation of the theme intention of these novels is a key for us to systematically analyze and understand Corvino’s novels.The paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces Calvino’s creative experience,the research situation at home and abroad,the method and significance of thematic research.The second part discusses the animal theme intention and points out that Corvino uses animal stories to show the hardship of people’s life and the alienation of human relations.The third part discusses the anti-war theme intention of war novels and points out that Corvino’s purpose of writing this kind of novels is to show the alienation of human beings under the high-pressure situation of war.The fourth part discusses the theme intention of the little people,pointing out that in this kind of novel,Corvino wrote the love theme of modern people,and people’s hope for life in difficult times. |
