A Study On The Inheritance Of Traditional Culture In Kapu Maonan Township,Guizhou Province

Rich,colorful and profound Chinese culture is jointly created by 56 ethnic groups,if which,minority culture is an important part.With the trend of globalization and modernization,many cultural heritages of ethnic minorities are facing inheritance crisis and even suffering damage,then gradually disappearing in Chinese culture.Therefore,the importance of how to inherit the traditional culture of ethnic minorities is greatly reflected.The self-confidence,self-reliance and self-consciousness of ethnic groups with less population are based on the traditional culture.Consequently,it is of unique significance for the less populated ethnic groups to protect and inherit their ethnic culture.Kapu Maonan Township,the only Maonan Township in China,is the only birthplace of Maonan in Guizhou.With the rapid development of China’s economy and the rapid flow of population,the exchanges between ethnic groups are becoming closer and closer.If we want to maintain the relative independence of culture,the ethnic groups with small population can not be influenced by the main culture and mainstream values.However,it’s rather difficult to do so.On the contrary,it may lead to the disappearance of these ethnic cultures as a whole.Nowadays,the problem we are facing is how to protect and inherit the traditional culture of ethnic minorities and how to preserve the cultural diversity of various ethnic groups,especially the traditional culture of ethnic groups with small population.This paper includes five parts.The first part is the research background and significance,reviewing the literature about the inheritance of Chinese traditional culture,other traditional cultures and Maonan traditional culture.Based on the relevant theoretical research,this paper makes a field survey and collects the first-hand information.The second part is an overview of the traditional culture of Kapu Maonan Township and an analysis of its basic status.The third part is about the cultivation of traditional culture inheritors,inheritance content and inheritance methods in Kapu Maonan Township.The fourth part makes a corresponding analysis of the factors restricting the inheritance of the traditional culture of the ethnic minority from both internal and external perspectives.The fifth part summarizes the relevant solutions for the constraints.
