Nowadays,with the continuous change and development of social science and technology,people have higher requirements in the spiritual level,and TV plays are becoming more and more important in people’s lives and become an important part of people’s entertainment.So a good translation is particularly important for viewers with other language needs.From the perspective of multi-modal discourse,this paper takes the translated text of Sha Hai Veterans as the corpus,and with the help of the comprehensive theoretical framework of multi-modal discourse analysis by Professor Zhang Delu of Ocean University of China,analyzes and discusses the translated text of Sha Hai Veterans’ lines from four aspects: culture,context,content and expression.Based on the relevant examples in the translation,this paper tries to analyze the characteristics,strategies,translation methods and translation difficulties of the works from many angles,and then summarizes the translation advantages in the translation.The purpose of this paper is to explore the guiding role of multi-modal discourse in the practice of Chinese-Wei translation through the in-depth analysis and comparison of the translation of Shahai Veterans,and to provide a certain reference for the research and practice of Chinese-Wei translation.It is found that multimodal analysis in TV series translation studies will make translation more comprehensive when it is singleModal can not express the complete meaning,other modes add meaning.The translator adopts various translation strategies,translation methods and translation techniques in the translation of Sha Hai Veterans.From the point of view of the overall translation of the translation,the translator mainly tends to "domesticate" translation strategies,and mostly takes free translation as the main translation method.This paper is divided into three parts: preface,text and conclusion.The preface introduces the purpose,significance,current situation and theoretical basis of this paper.The text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter through "Sha Hai Veterans" in the Chinese and Uygur language examples to illustrate the characteristics of TV series and constraints;The second chapter mainly analyzes the application of multi-modal discourse theory in practice;Chapter Three analyzes translation strategies and methods and techniques in translation;The fourth chapter mainly aims at the translation difficulty analysis and the processing analysis in the translation process.The fifth chapter mainly highlights the advantages of full-text translation.The conclusion part summarizes the whole paper.
