Study On Gesar Cultural Relics And Its Function In Yushu Area

Gesar epic is one of the most representative oral arts handed down from generation to generation by the Tibetan people.It takes the life story of the hero King Gesar as the material and takes poetry as the carrier to show a magnificent historical story for the world.The Gesar epic is not only the wisdom of the Tibetan,but also the precious treasure of the civilization of all mankind.Set on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,the epic of Gesar vividly depicts the artifacts,natural scenery and tribal wars of that time.According to legend,there are still many historical relics and sites related to the epic Gesar in Tibet,Amdo and Kangba.This paper mainly makes a broad and in-depth investigation of Gesar cultural relics in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,sorts out the historical relics and legends of Gesar in Yushu region,and explores the local environmental protection,cultural inheritance,and tourism development.Finally,the influence of the relics of Gesar on the current social life and its development mode in the future are discussed.This paper is divided into five parts: introduction,three chapters,conclusion,and references.The introduction part reviews the existing research results of Gesar relics and explains the significance and research methods of this paper.The first chapter divides the unique Gesar relics in Yushu into two categories:historical relics and legends of landscape and scenery,and discusses them one by one.The second chapter introduces the function of Gesar culture in Yushu area,and analyzes the influence of Gesar culture on Yushu’s environmental protection,cultural inheritance,and tourism.It is concluded that Gesar culture can become a hot spot to attract tourists,and tourism development is an important means to protect Gesar culture,but it is also a "double-edged sword" for Gesar culture.The third chapter summarizes the reasonable rescue measures and specific operating principles.Finally,this paper analyzes the inheritance mode of Gesar culture in Yushu region in the future,affirms the cultural and artistic value and practical application value of Gesar epic culture in the process of the current modernization construction.
