Narrative Research Of Korean TV Dramas On The Elderly In Recent Five Years

In the past five years,the time of Korean senior-themed TV dramas is limited to 2016 to 2021.This study mainly studies the characteristics of Korean senior-themed TV dramas in narrative and the satisfaction mechanism of audiences’ psychology of watching TV dramas since South Korea entered the "aging society".South Korea’s elderly drama theme to the elderly as the narrative main body,around the elderly life and the elderly and young people get along with different ways of thinking and spread out.It mainly conveys that in today’s society,no matter how the world changes,the elderly always keep a positive attitude,always have the heart to love life and the right to pursue dreams.Elderly TV series focus on the elderly,show their life experience,express their thoughts and emotions,and bring the audience infinite wonderful,warm and moved.This paper chooses South Korean TV dramas about the elderly represented by My Dear Friends and Shining as the research object.Through the text research method,case study method and induction and summary method,the author focuses on the narrative theme,narrative characteristics and the psychological satisfaction mechanism of watching the drama.First of all,in recent years,in terms of ideological values,South Korean TV dramas about the elderly advocate the publicity of the subject value consciousness,the full expression of self and the transcendental perception of the spirit of life.There is a great change in the way of expression of ideas.These values are no longer imposed on the audience by the way of preaching by the characters in the drama.Instead,the audience is substituted into the audience through the story,making them become the subject of value.Secondly,In recent years,TV dramas about the elderly mainly highlight their features from narrative roles,narrative perspectives and narrative plots.There is no strong plot conflict to promote the development of the plot,and the emotional expression of the elderly is taken as the focus of the narrative.Through the promotion of details and contradictions to achieve the development of narrative plot,thus presenting the charm of the TV series on the theme of the elderly,so that the audience can feel the emotional expression of the characters in the drama,the perception of the life course,and accept the philosophical thoughts and the true meaning of life conveyed from the plot.Finally,in recent years,South Korean TV dramas about the elderly have been widely praised and loved,which has a strong appeal to the audience,indicating that the TV dramas have met the audience’s complex and diversified needs for watching TV dramas.Therefore,the content production of TV dramas must fully understand the audience’s complex psychology of watching TV dramas,balance its cultural attributes,and truly achieve the goal of creation and production that is suitable for both the old and the young and enjoy both refined and popular tastes.On this basis,in recent years,South Korean TV dramas about the elderly have realized the realization and satisfaction of the audience’s artistic aesthetic needs and expectations of recognizing society,recognizing themselves and sublimating themselves through the TV drama art works.
