| The source text of this project is the eighth chapter of Child Development and Education in the Twenty-First Century.The chapter mainly interprets the relationship between child development and current digital technologies,and it also focuses on the new challenges and requirements posed by the technologies.The translation project is guided by the Skopos Theory.The author discusses the difficulties and solutions in the translation,with the difficulties mainly being terminology,simple words with wider semantic scope,complicated sentences,simple sentences with semantic ambiguity,and the stylistic consistency.The solutions include annotation,extension of meaning,conversion,amplification,omission,division and combination.The report consists of five chapters.Firstly,the author discusses the background and significance of the project,then the source text and application of Skopos Theory are analyzed.Moreover,difficulties in the translation and solutions are elaborated,and the author summarizes the success and problems in the end. |
